Algal Biofuels Biochemical Composition Workshop
This student workshop will provide an overview and hands-on training for sample preparation and analysis of algal biochemical composition. The workshop will use the standardized procedures developed at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory: http://www.nrel.gov/biomass/microalgal_procedures.html
Students (and/or faculty) with projects that benefit from knowledge of carbohydrate, protein and lipid content for their algal cultivation efforts are encouraged to attend. The workshop will host students in the NMSU dorms as necessary and will provide all meals except dinner on Sunday. Students wishing to stay Tuesday night following the conclusion of the workshop may do so.
The workshop is being hosted by Tanner Schaub, Omar Holugin and Neil Paz in the NMSU College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences.
