The project I participated in was the osmotic power project under Dr. Wei from New Mexico Highlands University in collaboration with New Mexico Tech located in Socorro New Mexico on June 2014. My participation in the project was to learn how to build thin membranes from polymers and study the permeability, the thickness, and compare the results to those of other groups working with different materials. Some of the methods we used were the SEM or scanning electron microscopy, the doctor blade technique, and the permeability test using different pressures.
