My involvement in EPSCoR focuses on providing high-quality chemical analyses or both the algal biofuel effort as well as the osmotic power generation effort. In addition to providing chemical analyses by a number of techniques, I also help develop courses to train EPSCoR stuents in proximate analysis for algal biofuels (lipid, carbohydrate and protein quantitation). We will host these classes at NMSU in the summer of 2015. A portion of my salary is paid through Dr. Schaub's faculty start up funds that have been allocated to salary support to facilitate my involvement in these efforts.
