Manage and guide the use of the YSI exosonds purchased w/ EPSCoR seed funds. Troubleshoot the adaptation of the sondes to use in a photobioreactor instead of open waters. Advising a dual-credit high school student who is using 3D printers to make adaptations to the sondes to operate in the environment of the PBR. Manage 2 student interns on the seed project. Currently compiling and interpreting the data collected by the interns. PI for DIWG at SFCC dealing with middle school-college pipeline using citizen scientist programs to encourage young students into STEM fields.
