2018 NM Science Fiesta

Join us for the NM Science Fiesta at Tiguex Park Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 11am-3pm for a celebration of science, art, technology, and more! The NM Science Fiesta is a FREE EVENT loaded with fun, family-friendly activities. 18th Street between Explora and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science will be closed for the event, and both Tiguex Park and the street will be filled with booths and activities where children and adults can explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math and the vital roles they play in our everyday lives. We are thrilled to announce that First Lady Elizabeth Keller will serve as the Honorary Chair of this year’s NM Science Fiesta. As a female STEM professional, the First Lady is a role model for Albuquerque students interested in pursuing STEM careers and improving access to STEM for ALL students, and we can think of no one better to help us celebrate the importance of science to our community.

Other exciting NM Science Fiesta activities taking place throughout the week of May 14-21 include Classroom Connections, a Teen Science Cafe, the Science of Breakdancing, a BioBlitz, and more. Look for updates on these events at: http://www.explora.us/new-mexico-science-fiesta. For the Expo on May 19, in addition to Tiguex Park, the Fiesta also will take place on 18th Street between Explora and New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science; this street will be closed to accommodate the event.
