ENVI

Summary:

ENVI products are commonly used by remote sensing professionals and image analysts to process and analyze imagery for informed decisions in many fields, including Defense and Intelligence, Environmental Monitoring, and Academic fields. Unlike other commercial remote sensing and image processing software, ENVI is available for a number of operating systems, including Windows, Macintosh, and Unix.

ENVI combines advanced spectral image processing and proven geospatial analysis techniques with a user-friendly interface. It has compiled many scientific algorithms for image processing a lot of which are created as automated, wizard-based functions which can facilitate users for complex tasks. ENVI for ArcGIS allows users to analyze geospatial imagery within any ArcGIS environment whether deployed on the desktop, in the cloud, or online.

ENVI is an extremely powerful tool for analyzing the content of hyperspectral images that is adaptive and easily modified for the desired workflow. A government-funded independent assessment of a broad range of software tools indicated ENVI software was the top one product for automated feature extraction and assisted target recognition. ENVI is recognized around the world as the leaders in multispectral and hyperspectral data analysis and information extraction. ENVI is very easy for beginners since the tool wizard will guide users through each spectral analysis step.
