Summary: 

Widely used object-relational database management system, uses a System Global Area (SGA) “shared memory area” to store and retrieve data.
A sever allows multiple users to access the data and a large feature set. Along with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle is widely regarded as one of the two most popular full-featured database systems available.

Consolidating databases on the cloud and servers.
Data synchronization between multiple deployments of client databases and an enterprise Oracle database.

Additional packages are required for certain functions.

IT data management. Oracle databases may include many semi-autonomous software sub-systems.

Licensing Description: 

Commercial. Multiple versions for cost savings and meeting needs of workflow. Each level of capability has limitations on amount of users and/or processors that will use the systems. Each computer core must have its own license.
